Romneyism of the Day: Mitt Romney has come under fire this morning — less than 24 hours after winning the Florida primary — for telling CNN’s Soledad O’Brien that he isn’t concerned “about the very poor” because “we have a safety net there.”
When pressed on this statement by O’Brien, the presidential candidate reiterated his commitment to fixing any holes in that safety net, but also took the time to repeat the phrase “I’m not concerned about the very poor,” which was undoubtedly a very poor choice of words from the man who would become one of the richest presidents in US history.

Hopefully some elected official from the Democratic Party (especially one who may or may not be occupying the White House at this present time) will have the guts to call Governor Romney out on this.
I am so, so sick of being told I’m in the party that supports class warfare when the front runner for the Republican Party can say things like “I’m not concerned about the very poor.”
To steal a quip from Ann Richards, poor Mitt, he can’t help it — he was born with a silver foot in his mouth.
