I keep trying to convince myself to delete my Google+ account.
I mean, really, I never use it. I don’t visit Google+ anymore, because all my friends have Facebook, so why would I? I’ve always been skeptical about putting all my eggs in one basket, and the fact that I use Gmail and have a Droid is enough to make me not want to use Google too exclusively.
Plus, their new privacy features are skeeving me out. I don’t want Google to track my data from my phone and my YouTube searches and whatever else I do on Google technology and “integrate” it, but I also don’t want to delete my Gmail account. So I turned to my nascent Google+ account.
I sat there, my mouse hovering over the radio button to delete my Google+ account, and all I thought was, “What if this is really, really useful in a year? I don’t want to add everybody again.”
So I didn’t delete it, and I just felt a little bad about the entire thing.
